Healthy Packed Lunch Ideas for Kids

Sprouts Dosa

Mung beans (a.k.a Moong) and brown and white chickpeas sprouted are grinded to make a smooth batter. Add a few cumin seeds, salt, ginger, and green chillies. Take a ladle spoon of batter and spread it on an evenly heated pan and once it cooks from one side, flip it over, and your dosa is ready!

Oats Pancake

Take one cup of oats, half cup milk, little butter, and banana, and make it a smooth batter. Take a pan, put some butter on it, and take one ladle spoon of batter and spread it. Serve it with honey and dry fruits on the top.

Millet Green Wrap

Make a dough out of millet flour and warm water. Then, roll the dough to make a thin tortilla or an Indian chapati. Fill the wrap with veggies such as cucumber, olives, tomatoes, lettuce, and spinach. Garnish it with some mayonnaise and sprinkled salt and pepper. Wrap the tortilla tight and seal it.

Veg Sushi

Cook the sushi rice. Mix red wine vinegar, salt and sugar and coat and flavor the rice with this mixture. Place avocado, carrot,  bell pepper, zucchini, and cucumber slices with lemon juice sprinkled in the middle of the rice. Roll the nori sheet and serve it in your kid’s lunch box.

Chicken Risotto

Saute finely chopped chicken in butter with salt and pepper. Add some vegetable stock, and let it boil. Once it starts boiling, add the risotto rice. Cover it up till the rice is cooked. After the rice is cooked, garnish with grated cheese and pesto sauce.
