Coldplay in India - Music of the Spheres

Coldplay in India

Probably the best of all UK music bands and one of the finest in the world music history, Coldplay, is coming to India in January. This is a post acknowledging their greatness and beauty on account of their upcoming tour to India.

The band was formed in 1997 in London, and since then they’ve continued to mesmerize people with their soulful music. The lead singer of the band is Chris Martin (vocals, piano), and the lead guitarist is Jonny Buckland (guitar). Guy Berryman (bass), Will Champion (drums, percussion), and Phil Harvey (manager) are the other band members. The band is known for unique compositions on social and environmental causes.

Martin and Buckland met in University College London, and that is the origin of the band. Initially, the band was named Starfish before they finalized on the current name. The group released their debut album, Parachutes, in 2000, which achieved international success, featuring hits like “Yellow” and “Shiver.”

Their best single “Yellow” received a Brit Award for British Album of the Year and a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. Coldplay’s popularity soared with subsequent albums, including X&Y (2005) and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008).  They’ve sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music acts in history.

Some of my favorite songs are: Viva La Vida, Clocks, Yellow, Fix You, Paradise, In My Place, The Scientist, Up & Up, and many more. It is the one band that I really completely connect with along with “Hollow Coves” in recent times. These two bands have made me cry so maby times. There is no doubt that these two bands take me somewhere that no other band could take me with most of their songs. There is a beauty in Coldplay’s music that can just touch my soul right to its birth and death. It is just so beautiful. This is a post dedicated to how much I love Coldplay and their music, they’re just purely beautiful!

Hope we all be children once again and love the soulful music of Coldplay.
