Beginning from the basics of variables, functions, properties, conditionals and loops, to working with events to make things move, explode, count down, and do whatever you can imagine, this is a good book for beginners of Roblox in a step by step manner. The book graduates to more complex topics around raycasting to allow visitors to place their own objects.
Book 4: Basic Roblox Lua Programming
A really good book on Lua basics for beginners and kids to learn the tenets of Roblox Lua. This is written by a kid and therefore it is not necessarily the best in terms of editing. The book would do well with a bit of editing on the manuscript again. Nevertheless, look at the big picture and it is a good book for beginners to learn from a kid’s perspective.
Book 5: A Beginners Guide to Roblox Programming: A Book by a Kid For Kids
It’s a great guide to Roblox, but could be a bit dense and complex for beginners. ,It is ideal for high school students who may not be total beginners or intermediate students of Roblox Studio. The book excels in particular explanations on the graphics side of gaming for beginners than the programming side which is more common.
Book 6: The Advanced Roblox Coding Book
With detailed instructions, example screenshots, and simple explanations on teleporting objects (or PCs/NPCs!), to adding and applying power ups, to creating a leaderboard, and allowing players to save their games. This book walks you through the basics of the studio tool, provides tutorials for specific actions and creations, then explains how to use all of that knowledge to create your own unique game world!
