6 year olds are coding, and we wrote in a previous post on why we were not surprised by this feat. Coding is the language of computers, and just like learning any other language, starting early is always better. Today, we have simple interface based tools to write code, such as block-based coding languages, that allow kids to think and write code in a simple language kind of format. Scratch and Code.org are great tools for a 6-year-old to start coding programs.
We’ll see below some of the games built by 6 year-olds at UnicMinds and it still startles me to think that 6 year-olds are building these games. These little children are even participating in coding competitions like IKCC at this young age and winning competitions. It is not just in coding that kids across the world are starting early, it is happening in a lot of other fields like poetry, dance, mathematics, chess and others.

Soccer game
You and your opponent serve the ball to each other. Every time the ball is missed by the opponent, the player scores a point. Every time opponent misses the ball, you score a point.
Space Invaders Game:
There is an army of space invaders that have come, and these invaders have to be defended by you. There are different levels of enemies such as squid enemy, bug enemy, and boss enemy, that have to be killed and your planet has to be defended.
Mario Game in Game Lab:
Mario has to collect stars and cross obstacles while saving himself from Gumba. There are two levels of difficulty coded by the student in this game.
BunnyChef Game:
Bunny has to find a bowl to collect mushrooms and carrots. But everytime it touches the ladybug or snail, Bunny loses the mushrooms and carrots. While he tries to jump, if he gets stung by the bee, then he drops the bowl.
Pacman Game:
The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called “Power Pellets” causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points.
Defend your cake
There are two bugs who are trying to eat the cake. You need to defend your cake by pushing the bugs into the ocean.
